THE UNBEARBLE LIGHTNESS OF BEING BY MILAN KUNDRA

 THE UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF BEING

Writer: Milan Kundera

Year published: 1984

Pages: 305

Content of book:

This book is divided into seven parts: Lighntess and weight, soul and body, words misunderstood, soul and body, lightness and weight, the grand march and Karenin's smile. There are four main characters of this book Tomas, Sabina, Franz and Tereza. The story  revolves around these four characters in the backdrop of invasion of communists to Czech Republic.

When and How did I read this book:
I finished this book in two days. Half I read while travelling to Jaipur and rest I finished while I was travelling to Ajmer.

Why I want to recommend this book:
I really enjoyed reading the book because of two things: One is Sabina., one of the leading characters in the book. Sabina's betrayal is alluring. Second thing I liked is the theme of this book- freedom and constraints specially in our relationships.
